Hayes used to be very popular with his fans and NFL teams. He was part
of active games from 1965 to 1975. He passed away in 2002. He entered
into Pro Football Hall of Fame this year. He thanked everyone through
his sister, as he had written a statement before he died, hoping that
his day will come. Like him another player from the past, Thomas also
entered into Hall of Fame. It is nice to see old and bright players of
the past getting their due recognition and a name in the history
books. These players will be remembered for their contribution to the
game and its legacy.
